Welcome to School Nutrition!

Good nutrition and learning go hand in hand!

The School Nutrition Department is made up of a team of food and nutrition professionals dedicated to students' health, well-being, and ability to learn. We support learning by promoting healthy habits for lifelong nutrition and fitness practices.

Free Meals to All Students 18 Years and Younger for School Year 2021-2022

July 1, 2021

Dear Parent or Guardian:

We are excited to inform you that the Bibb County School Nutrition Department will participate in
the Seamless Summer Option (SSO) for the 2021-2022 school year. The United States
Department of Agriculture (USDA) issued guidance that allows for schools to offer meals to all
students 18 years of age and younger at no cost for the 2021-2022 school year. This means
healthy meals will be offered every day to all students at no cost. Under SSO, all children 18
years of age and younger may receive one reimbursable breakfast and one reimbursable lunch
on school days at no charge. No application is required!

We are delighted about this opportunity to provide nutritious meals to all of our students. Our
hope is that more students will have access to meals that provide essential nutrients necessary
for academic success. Meals will follow the USDA guidelines for healthy school meals. Please
help us ensure our meal program is a success by having your child participate in our school
breakfast and lunch programs every single day. You will find updated school menus at

If we can be of any further assistance, please contact the School Nutrition Department at (478)

Sincerely,

Estimado padre o tutor:

Atentamente,

Programa de Nutrición Escolar del Distrito Escolar del Condado de Bibb
